These writing instruments bear the signature of a great unsung hero of modern design. Dietrich Lubs spent his career at the storied German electronics giant Braun, working beside Dieter Rams and authoring some of the company's most successful clocks and calculators (examples of which are in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art).
For Japanese stationary company Düller, in collaboration with Naori Miyazaki of IDEA International, Lubs has created a minimal, matte black beauty that will convince you to put down your smartphone and actually write for a change. The subtle green detailing is said to be based on the buttons of the iconic Braun calculator (which Apple riffed on in its first iPhone OS).
